Welcome to the Senior Vice President's Office

Kyle J. Cavanaugh, Senior Vice President for Administration

Kyle Cavanaugh oversees Human Resource Services, the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Vice President for Business Affairs, the Chief Privacy Officer, and the Chief Audit Executive. In addition to these responsibilities, Kyle interfaces with all other University of Florida Vice Presidents on a variety of strategic issues.

Kyle manages Human Resource Services, which includes employee and labor relations, overseeing faculty and staff training, compensation and benefits, recruitment, employment, classification, wage and benefits, retirement, employment and disciplinary action, complaints, transfers, leaves, and workers compensation.

The Senior Vice President's Office also manages Equal Employment Opportunity at the university, BabyGator childcare services, and the HR Forum—a monthly meeting to inform HR staff around campus on HR happenings.

Paula Varnes Fussell, Interim Vice President for Human Resource Services

Paula has more than 25 years of financial and administrative experience in higher education—19 years with the University of Florida.

As Interim Vice President, Paula oversees HRS areas including employee and labor relations, faculty and staff training, compensation and benefits, recruitment, employment, classification, wage and benefits, retirement, employment and disciplinary action, complaints, transfers, leaves, and workers compensation. The office also oversees the HRS Service Center.
